The Difference between Blue, Red Lines Rail Explained

In urban rail transportation, there are two major kinds of train and associated infrastructures.

There is the Blue Line which relies on electricity and the Red Line which drives on Diesel engine.

In Lagos, Business Hilights reports that the Blue Line Train is running from Marina – Mile 2 with stations at Marina, National Theatre, Orile Iganmu, Alaba, Mile 2. (Second phase is under construction and will link it down to Okokomaiko with stations at Festac, Alakija, Trade Fair, Volks, LASU and Okokomaiko)

The Lagos Red Line is running from Oyingbo – Agbado with stations at Oyingbo, Yaba, Mushin, Oshodi, Ikeja, Agege, Iju and Agbado (There also future plans to connect this Red Line to the International Airport in Lagos and also build another Elevated Track from Oyingbo to National Theatre to Join the Blue line train.
