…Seeks 30% of N200b Paliative Fund

President of Association of Nigerian Tyre Marketers (ANTM), owners of Africa Tyre Village (ATV), Lagos International Trade Fair complex, Alhaji Issah Akanbi Mohammed, has expressed the readiness of his association to join in the upcoming tripartite Commission to be set up by the Federal Ministry of Industry, trade and Investments to reduce import of auto spare parts including tyres by 40% from next year.

Ina recent media chat with Business Hilights in his office, he welcomed the new idea being piloted by the Minister, Dr. Uzoka-Anite during the recent ministerial briefing in Abuja.

He said ANTM is very ready to be members of the Commission and will contribute its quota to the success of the plan.

On the N200bn Presidential Palliative for small businesses, he said due to the importance of tyres on the motoring sector, 30% of the fund will help tyre dealers to grow better in the service of the economy.

He hailed the decision of the government to introduce the palliative and called early disbursement so that depressed businesses can be revived back to stability.
