…As Firm seals in-country maintenance deal

The Chief Executive Officer, Airpeace, Barr. Allen Onyema, has announced the acquisition of another 10 Embraer E175 fleets while signing a bilateral maintenance agreement with the fleet company. This is coming barely one year after the delivery of the first set of the aircraft to grow fleets.

The company made this known in an interview with Business Hilights Abuja Bureau Chief on the sidelines of the just concluded Africa Aviation Summit.  He added further that the new aircraft will further reduced the growing incidents of flight cancelations and delays currently being experienced in the industry.

According to the fresh understanding signed ahead of taking delivery of the new aircrafts, Embraer would assist in the setting up of its maintenance centre in the country, where maintenance of the fleet would be carried out in the country.

According to Onyema, the decision was based on the directive the new Minister, Festus Keyamo (SAN) gave pursuant  to driving the aviation sector forward, while attracting investment through the maintenance policy.
