Just in: Mrs. Toyin Sakirat Madein now substantive Accountant General of Nigeria
Following the recent removal of embattled former Accountant General of the Federation, Alhaji Ahmed Idris over his alleged multi-billion naira fraud, today, Friday May 19, 2023, President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Alhaja Mrs Oluwatoyin Sakirat Madein as the substantive Accountant general of the Federation.
A statement by the Director of Communication in the Office of the Head of the Service of the Federation, Mohammed Abdullahi Ahmed, said that the head of service of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Esan made this known on Friday, May 19, 2023 in Abuja.
He quoted the Head of the Civil Service of the federation to have said that the appointment was with immediate effect from Thursday, May 18, 2023.
Until her appointment, Madein was the Director of Finance and Accounts (DFA), in the office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Dr. Mrs. Yemi Easn.
