Relying on its logical interpretation of Thursday’s Supreme Court judgment, INEC few minutes ago, addressed the media and declared Senator Douye Diri and his deputy, the substantive winners of the November 16, 2019 guber elections in Bayelsa State with a total of 143,172 votes and required spread.
The election umpire also noted that considering that the tenure of the current governor, Chief Seriake Dickson will expire 12 midnight today, certificate of return will be issued to the winners in record time so that swearing in shall be done as soon as possible today to beat the midnight lacuna.
