…Says Nigerian voters are now ready for real change
Governorship flag bearer of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Lagos, Jimi Agbaje, has stressed that for too long, Lagosians are tired of being led by one man (name with held).
According to him, “Though the Centre of Excellence has had three governors since 1999, I believe that the state is under the control of an individual”.
Business Hilights recalls that Agbaje had contested for the governorship of the state since 2007, 2011 and 2015 but kept losing to the one particular party and he is presenting himself again for the same contest come 2019.
Explaining more during his recent visit to the party secretariat, the PDP flag bearer averred that voters are ready for change, believing that PDP would win the 2019 governorship in the state.
According to him, “We are getting ready seriously for elections and we just came out of the national convention stronger as a party.
“We have to congratulate ourselves that we now have a presidential candidate and we also have a vice president candidate,” Agbaje noted.
He made it clear that PDP intends to take Lagos in 2019 election, saying “The campaign for Lagos is set for us. It is clear to us in Lagos that what Lagosians are looking for is freedom from the vested interests that have gripped Lagos for nearly 20 years.”
