Leading online shopping group, Jumia Nigeria has said that the company is currently working hand-in-hand with the police in determining the exact sequence of events leading to a road accident involving one of its dispatch riders along Adeniyi Jones, lagos State on Monday.
In a statement, the company said “Monday morning at approximately 6:50am a Jumia Dispatch Associate driving on Adeniyi jones, Ikeja, was involved in an accident with a commercial tricycle rider. We are heartbroken to report that a number of people were injured and a passer-by lost his life when the tricycle rider hit him as a result of the accident. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of the deceased”.
Jumia averred that Police investigation which is ongoing will help determine the exact sequence of events leading to the accident.
