Woman rejected at TB Joshua’s church before her plot to defraud Police with Adebayo
More facts have emerged on the suspected Cameroonian lady, Tanla Mirabel who was reported by some national daily on Saturday, that she had lodged in Ikotun area of Lagos and seeking healing for her Asthma at TB Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN).
Findings at the church on Saturday showed among other things that she was never allowed entrance from the first time she approached the church due to her poor documentation before coming to Nigeria.
A source at the church explained to Business Hilights that “SCOAN has a very clear and standard way of profiling all international visitors which the woman did not follow and therefore was not allowed entrance”.
“It was therefore very regrettable that a reputable national daily linked her to the church when there was no link in the first instance.
It would recalled that some national dailies had reported on Saturday, May 27, with caption; ‘Woman seeking miracle at TB Joshua’s church nabbed over kidnap of policeman’s son’.
Additional details from the said report made it clear that Mirabel had not intentionally set out from her country, Cameroon to visit SCOAN in the first instance, but to Kano State where his brother was living and doing business.
One of the national dailies report made it clearer in parts: “Narrating how she met Adedayo, an indigene of Bamenda in Cameroun, Mirabel said, “I came to Nigeria three months ago and I stayed in my brother’s house in Kano State. I had only N10,000 on me when I left Kano and came to Lagos. I went to TB Joshua’s church that day because I am an asthmatic patient and I wanted him to pray for me for healing. But when I arrived the church, the ushers did not allow me to see him.
“I became stranded and stood at the bus stop when I had nowhere to go that night. Adedayo approached me there and asked where I was going. I told him I had nowhere to go. He told me he had a lodge where he paid N500 per night and offered to accommodate me.
“I lived with him and he fed me for two weeks. There was a day he left the room with my phone and when he came back, he said he saw a post on my phone about a missing boy and the parents of the missing child published their phone numbers, offering a reward for anyone with information that could lead them to the child.”
Though efforts to speak with Prophet TB Joshua on the matter failed, other officials of the church regretted the way and manner the national daily painted the story which was not true because Tanla Mirabel was never in Nigeria on the documentary approval of SCOAN, rather she came originally to see her brother in Kano before coming to Lagos without the prerequisite international document and profiling which disqualified her from gaining access in line with the church’s well known standard for years.
This therefore means that the record must be kept straight that she, Tanla Mirabel and her accomplice, Rafael Adebayo never hatched the plot to defraud the father of the adopted child, a Police Inspector, or any other crime anywhere near the SCOAN premises. Besdes, Adebayo is not an employee or member of SCOAN church. It was just a coincidence that both Cameroonian nationals met themselves in Lagos.
Business Hilights gathered that trouble started when a Police Inspector whose child was adopted in Nassarawa State went on social media with his phone numbers seeking public assistance on whereabouts of his child. The duo of Mirabel and Adebayo criminally capitalized on the accessed phone number of the Policeman to contact him, posturing as being in the know of the child’s adaptors which may not be correct. Their target is to defraud the officer until luck ran out them and they were nabbed by the Police team tracking their phone number.
