Complains of site hanging frustrating UTME 2017 online registration @ JAMB portal

Indications have emerged that not all prospective students who had planned to register for the UTME 2017 examination organized by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation’s Board (JAMB) are likely to successfully conclude the ongoing online process.

This is based on massive reports of hanging and slow speed of the dedicated portal.

Apart complains from the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) prospective candidates in the North-East weekend over the slow pace of registration process, the report also filtered from around some areas of Lagos and South West.

An official of JAMB who pleaded anonymity denied the claims that its site is hanging, but noted that “Weak data services coming from telecoms services providers may be responsible for the internet hiccups.

“Before we kicked off the registration process, the site underwent stress test and passed no matter the level of hits.

The 2017 JAMB UTME online registration which began on March 20th is scheduled to end on Wednesday 19th April   2017   while   registration   closes   on   Saturday   22nd      April   2017.
