Leading indigenous telecommunications giant, Globacom, has garnered over one million subscribers in one month due to growing delivery of quality of service and customer service excellence arising from recent network upgrade in parts of the country.
According to the latest statistics for the four major GSM operators for the month of October which was recently released by the telecoms industry regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), Globacom has sustained its growth path in the month of September, 2019 when it gained 2 million new subscribers in September, 2019.
Business Hilights gathered that Glo added 1,044,322 new subscribers in October, to lead the gainer’s table. Hence, its subscriber base has hit 50,255,796, compared to 49,211,474 in September.
Further review of the NCC’s industry statistics showed arch rival, MTN came second with 542,070 new subscribers, while Airtel came third with 172,221 additional customers. Their customer bases at the end of October stood at 65,870,174 and 49,081,899 respectively.
However, 9mobile suffered continued drop in its subscriber base in the month under review having lost another 541,890 customers to drop to 14,792,206.
