The Turkish Airlines group has issued a statement denying any form of air accident involving its flights from Hong Gong to Bishkek Manas International Airport (FRU).
In a terse statement issued in Lagos and made available to Business Hilights, the airline said “This is to correct the wrong message that a Turkish Airlines was involved in an accident”.
Earlier this morning, Monday, a cargo flight with TC-MCL registration number, operated by ACT Airlines, departed from Hong Kong International Airport (HKG) to Bishkek Manas International Airport (FRU) had an accident near Bishkek at around 01:40 UTC.
“Please kindly be informed that, neither the aircraft nor the crew is members of Turkish Airlines.
