Dufil Prima Foods, maker of Indomie noodles, has rewarded winners of its just concluded Indomie Independence Day promo, which is meant to celebrate young achievers. Each winner went home with a scholarship prize worth N1m.
In a statement, the Group Managing Director, Mr. Deepak Singhal said the event was meant to identify and reward children who had distinguished themselves in different categories of the campaign.
“This event is noteworthy as it seeks to fill the gap that exists in celebrating and rewarding the positive efforts, strong character, and achievements of many young children who have exhibited various acts of courage and heroism at one time or the other within the country.
“Dufil Prima Foods will always celebrate children who serve as change agents in their respective communities and beyond.”
Earlier in her remarks, the Managing Director, Education Partnership Centre, Dr. Modupe Adefeso-Olatejuwas, said in an address titled ‘The Nigerian child: Our biggest but yet untapped resource’ that there was a need for the empowerment of deserving Nigerian children.
“We need to get things right with the Nigerian children and only then can they be an asset to the nation. We need to create an environment where they can develop their natural talents. They must be given a chance to contribute to their societies, and be part of economic development and the growth of the nation.
