The Auto Spare Parts & Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex, today January 12, 2026 thrown its business gate open after praise and worship at the main gate.
Addressing members during the prayer session, ASPMDA President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe thanked God for guiding members to and fro their homes and different destinations during the yuletide and back to the complex in peace and prosperity.
Taking his message text from the Book of John 16 verse 7 to 15, Hon. Emechebe noted that whereas enemies of ASPMDA will continue to fight, God will continue to defend the righteous at all times to the glory of his name.
He charged ASPMDA members to start their 2026 business year with God for good progress and prosperity in the market.
According to him, “We are rededicating ASPMDA plazas to God in this 2026 for his protection, goodness and mercy. As we hand over the market to God, the goodness and mercy of the Lord shall be our fortress and pillar of progress. Every member shall make progress more than we made last year.

In a near sober mood, ASPMDA President remembered the passing away of a founding father and chairman of Founding Fathers, Chief Victor Amadi, which took place on the second of January this year.
While commending his enormous contributions to the rise and peace in ASPMDA during his time, Emechebe conducted one minute silence by all ASPMDA members on his passage to glory which was honoured.
Speaking on the business climate this year, ASPMDA President said God assured him of bigger and better progress in ASPMDA this year and maintained that more development activities will come into the market this year.
He advised everyone to remain focused in their businesses this year with special attention to God for protection and good guidance.
As soon as the praise and worship ended, ASPMDA pastoral team went round all the gates starting from the main gate to anoint and officially open them for the 2026 business years.
Shortly after the opening prayers/worship, action shifted to ASPMDA Government House, where the President, along with some Executive members and the media team of ASPMDA conducted the 2026 official breaking of kola nuts and prayed for God to protect and give progress to the market this year.
Top officials at the breaking of kola nuts included the CSO, Hon. Paulinus Ojukwu, Treasurer, Chief Cyril Anumba, PRO, Emeka Okoye, Assistant PRO, Dennis Wise and officials of ASPMDA Media including Nweke Monday, Kelvin Umeh and others.
