Upcoming story building security house at BBA/ICC main gate under Chief Oscar Odogwu administration
Leading trading group, Balogun Business Association (BBA), International Centre of Commerce (ICC), Lagos International Trade Fair complex has announced plans to remodel its security house at the main entrance/exit gate to a story building before the end of 2026.
Speaking to Business Hilights in an exclusive interview, the President, Chief Oscar Paul Odogwu said “BBA/ICC Executives under my watch as President is happy to announce that we have secured approval to redevelop and remodel our main security house from its current downstay structure to a story building that will be wired with digital security systems capable of accommodating security systems and architecture that will further cement the security of the market for the interest of all.

“We will soon begin work because all the designs and necessary development approvals have been secured ahead of time. What we are doing in the complex is to bring in new systems and way of doing things for the betterment of all.
According to him, “We are clearly changing the face of the BBA/ICC many know. You know that last year, 2025, we embarked on changing the faces of all our entrance/exit outlets with well designed looks that are befitting to a mega market like BBA. The deliveries of all the new gate designs you saw last year were done by our benefactors in the market who understands the value of giving back to the society that made you what you are. I thank all of them that participated in the projects from the main gate to even the smallest gates that can pass a vehicle.

Business Hilights recalls that during the end of 2025 yearly rally at the BBA/ICC, the President, Chief Oscar Odogwu assured the members of more dividends of democracy and introduced what he called “Support 5 Persons To Grow in Business Project”.
Explaining more on the project which will kick off this year, he said “The idea is another form of giving back to the society that made you well. I am going to start it myself by picking not less than five small business operators near by shop and support them with good fund so that they can grow their business and in the process move away from the region of poverty to the region of well-to-do in society.
“It is not too hard to do. Just look around your shop or office, you will see someone you are far far better that is struggling; just walk up to the person and tell him or her that I want to support your business to grow this year with so, so, so amount. You will see that you have positively changed the live of that BBA/ICC member for live.

Chief Odogwu also reminded BBA members to avoid issues and any form of business that will attract NAFDAC into the market this year for the reputation and interest of all of us here and assured everyone that this year, 2026 will be good for every person and business in BBA/ICC.
