IGP restores Emechebe Administration in ASPMDA after 45 days lock-out

After 45 days of lock-out of office, it was jubilation on Friday, March 1, 2024 at the largest auto market in Africa, the Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPMDA), Lagos International Trade Fair complex as the Special envoy of the Inspector General of Police, Kayode Egbatokun reopened the ASPMDA White House office of the President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe.

Addressing the crowd of business owners during the office reopening, the representative of the IGP said he came on the orders of the IGP to reopen the office for the incumbent President, Mr. Emechebe.

Business Hilights recalls that the office had been locked on February 16, 2024 by the IG of Police due to petition bordering on electoral matters.

Speaking on the office reopening, the chairman of Trade Fair Stakeholders and President of APT, Chief Eric Ifeanyi Ilechukwu said “Time has come for all business associations in the complex to embrace peaceful co-existence to move forward the complex. While thanking God for the peaceful settlement of the crisis in ASPMDA, he called on all associations to always preach and display peace and harmony in their political activities rather than politics of bitterness”.

Meanwhile, ASPMDA President, Hon. Ngozi Emechebe has expressed strong appreciations to the State Governor, Mr. Babajide Sanwo-Olu, IGP, Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, Lagos Police Command, the BOT members, all ASPMDAians and everyone that contributed in the resolution of the political crisis that rocked the association at the beginning of the year.

He said “ASPMDA will on Monday, March 4, 2024, carry out Praises and Worship at the main gate in the morning for thanking God for the peaceful resolution of the crisis.

According to him, “After the Worship and Praises, his administration Executives will be ushered into the office to continue the delivery democracy dividends to ASPMDAians”.
