A careful review of the who-is-who in Nigerian business on the entourage of President Bola Tinubu for the next week’s Presidential Round Table & Conference at Le Meridian Hotel in New Delhi has raised serious doubts on the claims by the present administration to deepen digital in a letter from the presidency seeking Visas for his Business Team, President Tinubu said “I write to inform that the following members of the Nigerian Private will be traveling to New Delhi to attend the Nigeria-India Presidential Table and Conference, organized by the High Commission in with the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) and the Nigeria-India Business Council (NIBC) to be addressed by His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President ofthe Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

Emeka Offor, Chief Razak Akanni Okoya, Prince Arthur Eze, Allen Onyeama, Cosmas Maduka, Alhaji Dr. Musbahu Mohammed Bashir, Jim Ovia, Dr. Oritsedere Otubu, Adewale Tinubu, Gbenga Agboola, Olamide Diekola Aina, Mitchell Elegbe, and Idris Bamidele Saliu.
Further checks showed that in the team are mainly industrialists, aviation investors, bankers, oil and gas and others excluding leading ICT investors like Dr Leo Stan Ekeh of Zinox Technologies, who has remained a top player in the industry for decades with lots of milestones to show for it, Mike Adenuga of Globacom, leading indigenous telecom giant, leaders of ATCON and ALTON.
Analysts say India is currently popular in technological developments and expressed worry why no known ICT investor is in the presidential team.
Besides, it is not yet clear if the new Minister of Communications and Digital Economy will be on the entourage after all.
Available records from the NBS show that ICT sector has remained the major driver of the economy in the face of ups and downs in the petroleum sector.
