I’ll take over all undeveloped plots in FCT to end land speculation—Wike
The just sworn in Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) and former Governor of Rivers State, Barr. Nyesom Wike has vowed to take over all undeveloped lands allocated in the last couple of years whom their owners are waiting for their appreciation.
Speaking shortly after being sworn in as the Minister of FCT, Wikde averred that “We will revoke Certificates of Occupancy to of those who got lands and are waiting for their appreciation to sell in billion.
You got government allocation at N200,000 and you are waiting for when it will hit billions.
“You got land at N200,000 and you are looking for who will buy at N2bn or more. Who does that?
“We will take back our land.
“And give to those who want to develop within time limits.
“”And you must sign that that you must develop at so-so time.
Continuing, Wike noted that “So if you among those who has such lands, please note that the land is coming back to us. For those that have refused to pay their grand rents, let them be ready for us.”
