Just in: Tinubu replaces Service Chiefs, names Adeniyi Customs CG

In continuation of consolidation and structuring of his administration for effective take off, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has approved the immediate retirement of all Service Chiefs and the Inspector-General of  Police, Advisers, Comptroller-General of Customs from Service and announced  their replacements with immediate effect.

Following the removal of the first non-carrier officer appointed by former President Buhari, incumbent President Tinubu has approved the appointment of Adeniyi Bashir Adewale as the Acting Comptroller General of Customs.

A statement signed by Mr. Willie Bassey, Director, Information, For: Secretary to the Government of the Federation said all the appointees including Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police and the Comptroller General of Customs are to act in their positions, pending their confirmation in accordance with the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
