The Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC) has been awarded for 100% enforcement of compliance with Order 172 at the 5th Presidential Enabling Business Environment Council (PEBEC) Awards.
Business Hilights recalls that Order 172 mandates DisCos to connect new point-load electricity customers within 30 days.
At the same event also, the Commission was also recognised as the 5th most improved out of the 55 MDAs evaluated by PEBEC for implementing ease of doing business reforms – 2022/23. The Vice Chairman, Dr M. Oseni, received the Award on behalf of the Commission at the Presidential Banquet Hall.
