Contrary to some fake news claiming that the entire South East has no access to the Atlantic Ocean for the development of a functional seaport, the Imo State Government is set to prove them wrong as the state government has concluded arrangements to flag off construction activities on Orashi River.
Already, the government has revealed that dredging process would soon start as part of prelude to the massive seaport scheme.
Explaining more in an interview, the state commissioner for local government and chieftaincy affairs, Chief (Mrs) Rubby Emele, said “the dredging which would soon commence is to further boost commerce, industrialisation, revenue generation and job creation in the state.”
