Strong indications emerging from Finland Saturday morning have provided fresh facts on why the South East Sit-At-Home announcer and self-styled fugitive Biafran leader, Mr. Simon Ekpa (also a Finnish citizen and lawyer), may not may further broadcast on Nigeria’s election or South East either on social media or otherwise going forward.
Recall that he was picked up Thursday by Finnish Police following official petition by the Nigerian government on his efforts at undermining the 2023 general elections. This diplomatic move forced the Finnish government to issue a warning to Mr. Ekpa to withdraw the 5-Day Sit-At-Home order earlier given by him on Igbos.
However, not being satisfied on his response, the Finnish Police swooped on his residence in Lahti and whisked him away for hours of interrogations after which he was left to go home but to return on Friday for further questioning.
Though proceedings from Friday’s meeting with the Finnish Police was not made public, credible sources in Lahti said since Friday, Simon Ekpa has started keeping a distance from all his social media handles especially on issues concerning Nigeria’s elections and Sit-At-Home orders.
Meanwhile, checks across South East Nigeria this Saturday morning showed gradual turning out of voters without fear of molestation as security structures are in place for the election.
