Leading pan-African financial institution, Ecobank has raised the bar in the delivery of sustainable Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) as it takes to youth’s empowerment in agriculture nationwide.
This time, Business Hilights can authoritatively the bank is currently partnering with the International Institute for Tropical Agriculture (IITA) to train Nigerian youths in agriculture under a scheme called AgriTech Wealth Creation Training.
A document sighted by our correspondent in Lagos showed that the scheme is “a four-week online free training programme specially designed to train and equips youths with the skills needed to create a thriving business and carrier in agriculture and technology.”
Further details revealed that “Areas of training include Aquaculture, Horticulture, Poultry, value addition and the programme is “open to only Ecobank account holders”
The bank is therefore calling on interested participants to equally download XpressPoint App to open Ecobank account in other to have access to the scheme.
On successful opening of Ecobank account, participant will then fill the online CO-CREATION BETWEEN ECOBANK AND IITA form.
Ecobank said the scheme is a collaboration “to create initiatives and an enabling environment for increased employment and entrepreneurship for youths in Agribusiness.”
