Recovery in BUACEMENT (+2.63%) and ZENITHBANK (+0.47%) were the primary driver of the market’s performance. Consequently, the year-to-date (YTD) return rose to 16.37%, with market capitalisation gaining ₦28.10bn to close at ₦26.81trn.
Analysis of today’s market activities showed trade turnover settled lower relative to the previous session, with the value of transactions falling by 25.02%. A total of 204.16m shares valued at ₦1.64bn were exchanged in 3,643 deals. FBNH (+0.00%) led the volume and value charts with 36.83m units traded in deals worth ₦396.18m.
Market breadth closed negative at a 2.20-to-1 ratio, with declining issues significantly outnumbering advancing ones. UPDCREIT (-9.86%) topped twenty-two (22) others on the laggard’s log, while CUTIX (+7.50%) led ten (10) others on the leader’s table.
