With due respect to our National Assembly debating DSTV and giving orders to reduce prices, I feel we Nigerians ought to be ashamed for our inability to establish and manage a cable TV. We failed with HITV, DAARSAT and others. We have no moral right to complain. Without DSTV and its affliate GOTV what reasonable alternative exists?

My take is that it is not an essential product of life or death. Everybody should go for the band they can afford. Or stay with local channels free to air. Pay per view that the National Assembly is asking for is more expensive anywhere it is offered and it is usually for special programs.

I urge us to face our existential problem of insecurity and let those who can manage a business successfully do their business. It is open access business, free entry free exit. My agony is our own failure as a people. If we cannot manage it we cannot teach those who are doing it successfully how to do it.

What have we done to our diesel and power escalating prices???
