Nigerian Powerstove, 3 others make UNDP’s 2021 Growth Stage Impact Ventures

The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), EPFL, Orange, and SAP have selected the 2021 Growth Stage Impact Ventures!

Powerstove, the Nigerian finalist made it in the Energy category alongside Kingo, Iluméxico, and Easy Solar, they are the most innovative and investment-ready ventures providing products and services to access affordable and clean energy from Mexico, Guatemala, Sierra Leone, and Nigeria.

To date, they serve more than 700,000 users between Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa, providing solar-home-systems, smokeless cookstoves, and solar lamps to low-income communities, also at the last mile. They are looking to raise between USD 500,000 and 8 million in equity or debt to scale their impact and operations.

UNDP further noted that the top 12  entrepreneurs are invited to pitch their products and solutions at our virtual pitching event (register to attend on June 3rd at 2PM GMT) and at the SDG Finance Geneva Summit, scheduled in late November 2021.
