
The Federal Government Monday announced what it described as Covid-19 palliative for the broadcast industry by cutting off 60% of licence renewal debts of all broadcast stations in Nigeria.
However, announcing the largesse, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed tied the enjoyment of the waiver on the ability of the debtor broadcast station to pay up the difference of 40% within three months.
The minister revealed that the government is currently studying how to support the print industry as soon as possible.
