Just in: Mandilas Trade Centre issues business reopening directives
Ahead of skeletal resumption of businesses nationwide tomorrow, Monday 4th of May 2020, President on Mandilas International Trade centre, Cheif Anthony Okeke during the weekend, issued guidelines to business operators at the complex on how to conduct their businesses in line with federal government’s rules of engagement on reopening of business after COVID-19 lockdown. In a statement issued, Chief Okeke gave terms and conditions on how businesses would operate in the complex, effective from Monday, may 4th 2020.
He said, “I am pleased to welcome all of you back to our business environment after a long period of the total lockdown due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
I wish to let you know that COVID-19 is real and it is still spreading .
In order to remain safe, it’s our responsibility to take all precautionary measures as we start our businesses.
We are therefore advised to strictly follow these instructions.
(1)The complex will be opened for business by 9am and close at exactly 3pm.
This means that everyone is expected to be out of the complex premises by 3pm.
(2)The complex is to open only on *Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays* of every week for now as directed by the Lagos State Government.
(3)Wearing of face masks is compulsory for all members, customers and visitors in the complex.
I am happy to announce to you that the Leadership of the Complex have
procured enough number of face masks to be distributed to members free of charge.
(4)All members/stakeholders in Mandilas International Trade Center are advised to avoid handshaking, hugging and all other forms of personal contact.
(5) Reasonable social distance of 2 meters should be maintained at all times when doing transactions or conversing.
(6) Avail yourself with the hand washing facilities provided at the entrances and strategic locations by the Leadership of the Complex.
Wash your hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
(7)Midday* *prayers*:
members are strictly advised to do the midday prayers in their individual shops/ offices .
Violators will be sanctioned.
(8)Every member is mandated to have alcohol based hand sanitizers in their shops and offices.
(9)Most importantly all members, customers and visitors are to submit themselves to the compulsory temperature test at the entrance gates of the complex.
Any temperature above 37.9 degrees should be reported to the appropriate authority and the individual will not be allowed into the Complex.
(10) Food vendors and drink sellers in the complex are to operate only on *takeaway* basis.
They must always wear hand gloves in addition to wearing of face mask and must maintain proper hygiene.
(11)All barbers Shops and hairdressing saloons are to remain closed until further notice.
(12) Gathering of persons is not advised but when necessary it should not be more than 20 persons.
(13) Do not touch your eyes , nose, and ears if your hands are not clean
(14) When sneezing or coughing, cover your nose or mouth with your elbow.
(15) In order to comply with the Lagos State government directive of 60% operating capacity, we hereby advice that any member with more than one shop/office should operate only one until the prevailing situation normalises .
