…Bans interstate transits forthwith, cuts gathering limits to 25
Lagos State governor, Mr Babajide Snawo-Olu Tuesday ordered all markets dealing with stiffs order than food and essential medics to shutdown effective Thursday, March 26, 2020.
Addressing the state in a live broadcast few minutes ago in Ikeja, the Governor ordered eateries to henceforth shutdown in-house serve and resume takeaways.
Also, the Governor outlawed any form of interstate transit either into or out of the state and further ordered that henceforth, gatherings of any sort shall now be restricted to 25 and no more 50.
He noted that the orders and changes are in line with efforts of the state government to deepen the containment of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic.
Business Hilights recalls that as at today, March 24, 2020, total cases have risen to 42. Recall that eariler in the day, new broke revealing that the Chief of Staff to the President, Alhaji Abba Kyari and Bauchi State Governor, Mr Bala Mohammed have tested positive to COVID-19.
In all, he advised Lagosians to begin total stay at home pending further notice.
Earlier today, the State Commissioner for Transport ordered all Danfo buses and the likes to restricted carriage of passengers to only eight.
