Minister of Finance to address Stock Exchange players, investors in Lagos today
All is set for the Honourable Minister of Finance, Budget and National Planning, Dr. Zainab Shamsuna Ahmed to storm the Nigerian Stock Exchange (NSE) on Broad Street today, Monday February 24, 2020.
Though the high point of the official visit will be the beating of the closing gong ceremony, a top official of the Exchange, in a telephone interview Sunday, confided in our correspondent that the Minister will use the opportunity to address the fears of industry players on the deepening gap between Nigeria’s revenue and loan ratio which had become a cause of concern for many experts.
“She will also speak on the importance of the emerging new national economic blueprint being prepared by the government following the end of the Economic Recovery and Growth Plan (ERGP) which many saw as having failed to lift the economy after three to four years in place.
