Ihedioha: Imo State lucky to have a 21st Century-compliant Governor—Minister

Visiting Minister of Youth & Sports Minister, Mr. Sunday Dare, has hailed the electorates in Imo State for electing as their governor, a 21st Century-compliant Governor, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha.

Speaking while being conducted round ongoing renewal works at the Dan Anyiam Stadium Complex, Owerri in company of the governor and Chairman of Imo State Sports Commission, Chief Fan Ndubuoke, he said ”Imo State is lucky to have a 21st Century-compliant Governor. With what I have seen, Imo State is going to build a lasting legacy in Sports.

Business Hilights recalls that shortly after inauguration, the governor flagged off massive renovation of several dilapidated public facilities including roads and sports centres including Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Earlier in his Keynote Address at the first ever Imo Sports Summit organized by the Imo State Sports Commission, he averred that Imo State remains a key sports personality grooming states in Nigeria.

The 2-day Summit holding at the Sam Mbakwe Conference Hall of Concorde Hotel Owerri has the theme; ‘Rebuilding Imo through Sports’.

Explaining reasons behind the summit, Chief Nduboke noted that the conference is aimed at driving conversations towards the full development of sports in the state.

Addressing participants, Governor Ihedioha assured that his administration will continue to deliver life touching and business enabling infrastructure throughout his stay as the governor of the state.
