Kaycee Madu sets record as first African to become Minister, MP in Canada

Imo State-born international legal practitioner, Barr. Kaycee Madu, who was recently declared winner in the tightly contested election as member of Parliament representing Edmonton South-West in Alberta, Canada, was on Tuesday, April 30, 2019, appointed and sworn in as the Minister of Municipal Affairs in Alberta Canada.
Business Hilights recalls that the appointment came as Africans living in Canada had been waiting patiently ahead of the 21st of May 2019, for the official parliamentary swearing in ceremony until another destiny provoking news reached emerged for the Nigerian export.
Madu will combine his lawmaking job with serving as Minister of the 3rd largest ministry in Alberta Canada with over $3.7 billion portfolio.
This according to analysts has distinguished the Nigerian to be the first African serving in dual capacity as the Minister of Municipal Affairs of the Province of Alberta and at the same time a Member of Parliament representing his constituency of Edmonton South-West.
