Face of under-aged on a qualified age PVC
With the rough way and manner the leadership of the Independent national Electoral Commission (INEC) and its Chairman, Prof Yakubu Mahmood, has treated the report on Kano under-aged voting allegations and viral videos, there are still fears in some quarters that the ugly trend may resurface come February 16, 2019.
Observers recall that it the repeated pestering of the Commission before it gave not so strong level of attention to the allegation of under-aged voters even with what can be described as genuine PVCs in parts of the north.
In the report, INEC sounded economical with words on what actually transpired between its officials and the voting public during the recent elections in parts of the north and the 2015 presidential election where the matter was so pronounced.
