PDP Presidential flag bearer, Atiku Abubakar and running mate, Peter Obi
More interest groups have continued to herald the choice of former Anambra State Governor, Mr. Peter Obi as the running mate of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential flag bearer in the 2019 presidential elections.
Addressing a world press conference in Lagos on Monday, the Coordinator of South East Traders’ General Assembly Lagos (SETGAL), Chief Pius Anyakorah averred that “It is with joy that we welcome the choice of Mr. Peter Obi as the running mate of His Excellency, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the coming presidential election. We have followed the build up that preceded his final selection and wish to say that Mr. Peter Obi as the final choice was a good and well calculated one.”
“Members of SETGAL welcome the permutation and see his emergence as a square pet in a round hole; hence all the tension being generated by issues of consultations in some quarters should not overshadow a well articulated plan.
Chief Anyakorah further called on South East governors to throw their weight behind one of their own for the interest of national development.
SETGAL is made up of leading trading groups in parts of Lagos and other regions of the country.
