For living and working illegally in Nigeria, Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS), Ogun State Command, has concluded arrangement to repatriate 18 illegal immigrants arrested at Akonu village, Bode Olude area.
Public Relations Officer of the command, Olaniyi Mobolaji, in a statement noted that 10 of the 18 illegal immigrants were indigenes of Benin Republic while eight were Togolese.
According to him, the agency is currently profiling illegal immigrants living and working without permits.
Mobolaji revealed that the command had received intelligence report on the activities of the immigrants and immediately acted on the directive of the state Comptroller, Ajibola Bayeroju.
He assured that the raid on non citizens without requisite documents and criminals has become a regular operation until the state is free from foreigners without legitimate documentations and registered businesses.
