Following serious suspicion of infractions in the operations of the Contributory Pension Scheme (CPS) in Delta Sate, Pensioners under the aegis of Association Contributory Retirees (ACR) have called on the Federal Government to probe the scheme. They accused the state government of being in league with Pension Fund Administrators (PFAs) and the bureau for pensions of short-changing them and denying them of their entitlements. The retirees alleged that the state government swindled them of N942.5 million which it purportedly borrowed to pay regular workers but refused thereafter to pay back. Vice chairman of the retirees, Anthony Osanekwu who led the protest also accused the Pension Commission (Pencom) of turning a blind eye to the antics of the state government and its agents against pensioners.
