CWG’s SMERP solution excites entrepreneurs at Enugu SME Week
SMERP, a trending application developed by Pan-African Information Technology company, CWG Plc has captured the excitements of participants at the ongoing Enugu SME Week.
The App is the company’s Enterprise Resource Planning platform built to enable Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) manage their business operations efficiently.
Explaining issues to the media at the Oak lands Amusement Park and Events center in Enugu, South-East Nigeria, Mr. Chidiebere Asiegbu, the Business Development Manager, SMERP at CWG said its participation at the event is in line with its strategic intent of deploying technology solutions that enable growth, especially for the SMEs segment of the Nigerian economy, which accounts for over 25 percent of employment in the country.
While delivering a paper on ‘Innovative Technologies’at the event, he noted that SMEs can easily setup an E-commerce website with different categories of products, even as he revealed that the solution is suitable for any business like retailing, hospital management, manufacturing and school management.
Asiegbu said “Few years ago, there was a survey, which revealed that there are 17 million Small and Medium Scale Enterprises in Nigeria, employing 32.41 million persons and makes a contribution of about 46.54 per cent to the nation’s Gross Domestic Product in nominal terms. At CWG, we have a commitment to enable the growth and sustainability of this segment with home grown technology”.
