Lead telecom regulator, the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has once again, outlined various initiatives that would be carried out across Nigeria to protect subscribers of telecom products and services, whom it refers to as the target beneficiary of all its activities.
Mr. Abdullahi Maikano, Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau at NCC in a paper delivered by Dr. Joesph Atoyebi, Deputy- Director, Consumer Affairs Bureau, disclosed this in Warri, Delta State at the 22nd Edition of its Consumer Town Hall Meeting (CTM).
He said “To ensure that the telecoms consumer is well protected, educated and informed, we have developed a series of initiatives with the main goal of empowering consumers with appropriate information that will ensure that their rights are not only protected, but their choices provide them with value for money”.
