All is set for the Presidency to resubmit the request for his administration to borrow $29.96bn from external sources to the Senate. This is coming three days after the first submission was bungled by what the lawmakers described as untidy presentation.

The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, disclosed this to State House correspondents at the Presidential Villa, Abuja on Wednesday, saying the administration would continue to engage the senators on the benefits of the borrowing plan.

While maintaining that at the end of the day, the lawmakers would see reason and approve the President’s request, Mohammed “It is not unusual for the government and the Senate to have some disagreements; they (senators) want more information. We will continue to engage them. We will give them all the information they need’.
