Multinational leading manufacturer of Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Unilever Ghana has won two top Expatriate Business in the country during the recent first edition of the Ghana Expatriate Business Awards held recently.
The company won both the best in the Personal Care and Cosmetics business in Ghana at the same event.
The Ghana Expatriate Business Awards was organized by the Ministry of Trade and Industry with the aim to recognize the immense contributions expatriate businesses have made to the growth and development of the Ghanaian economy.
According to the Minister, progress made in business over the years, has largely been supported by the inflow of foreign investment, generating much needed jobs and improving the livelihood of Ghanaians.
In his remarks, Unilever Ghana’s Managing Director, Ziobeieton Yeo, commended the government for instituting the awards scheme to recognize the contribution of the expatriate community and companies.
He said apart from encouraging existing businesses to do more to impact the economy of the country, it will spur other foreign real sector investors to come in.
Yeo said the duo of the Top Company of the year and Best in the Personal Care & Cosmetic business as well will drive the company to do more next year.
