Leading indigenous conglomerate in the Maritime, Aviation, Oil and Gas and the Hospitality business, SIFAX Group, earlier in the week in Lagos launched a new, five-year business-growth plan to deepen investments in core areas of interest.

Group Managing Director, Adekunle Abdulrazak Oyinloye, who opened up on the new development plan during the Group’s mid-year business media briefing in Lagos noted that the group has just invested about Euro 18 million on harbor cranes, which on arrival, would significantly jump earnings.

He said “For us, we don’t like to react. We set the pace. SIFAX does not imitate anyone. We set the pace. So, it is in path of setting the pace that we began this year, the task of looking into the future, beginning with Maritime and logistics; and we’ve asked ourselves, where do we want to be in five years time?!”.

On the new strategic and structured plan, Oyinloye he revealed that stronger hands are underway to the group as part of moves to drive the multi-sectoral growth plan of the conglomerate.

He said efforts are already on to increase the number of the Group’s bonded Terminals, a Directorate for Compliance, to ensure a strict adherence to the dreams of the Investors, stressing his happiness for the structured plans, and the determination to keep to the growth trajectory.

On their new subsidiary in Warri, Oyinloye disclosed that “Warri is now seriously back into business, unlike in days gone by, when the area was erroneously associated with youths’ restiveness.”

The elated GMD used the occasion to announce the emergence of another division of the Group; the Sky Capital and Financial Allied Company Limited, with headquarters on the Lagos Island, saying it was created primarily to support the Group.

He said “Today, the Group is giving birth to a major, new hotel in Ikeja”, the Group Managing Director said, describing the hotel as a true, 5-Star hotel, adding that the hotel would be declared open early next year.

On activities in the transportation division, the General Manager Haulage and Logistics Mr. Adewale Adetayo revealed that the company had requested for 25 additional brand new trucks to be added to the 75 trucks already on ground, all in a bid to strengthen the current door-to-door services of the Group.
