NSC hands over 10 hectares of land to Tin-Smelting plant in Jos

As part of ongoing drive to deepen diversification of the economy by promoting non-oil sector, the Nigerian Shippers Council (NSC) has sealed an agreement for the transfer of over 10 hectares of land behind Heipang Jos Inland Container Depot, Jos, in Plateau State, to Messrs Topwide Ventures Limited for the establishment of a Tin-Smelting plant.

The Council, in a statement said the transfer is part of the agency’s commitment to trade promotion.

The handing over ceremony took place at the NSC corporate Head Quarter in Lagos.

This will add value to the Heipang-Jos Inland Container Depot, aside generating revenue for the government, promoting employment within the vicinity of the project and providing ready export cargo for the Depot on a sustainable basis.

Business Hilights reports that the handing over ceremony was performed by the Director Inland Transport services, Mr. A.N Makinde on behalf of the ES/CEO, Mr. Hassan Bello.
