NSC begins search for Enugu, Kogi Truck Transit Park investors this week
The Executive Secretary of Nigerian Shippers’ Council (NSC), Barr Hassan Bello, will this week begin search for credible investors in the development of Truck Transit Park (TTP) planned for Obolo-Afor in Enugu State and Kogi State.
Making the disclosure at a recent one-day seminar for transport and aviation correspondents in Abuja, Bello revealed that Federal Government’s plan to develop TTP in parts of the country is to develop transport hubs which will while creating jobs in the localities, further reduce incessant parking of articulated vehicles loosely on the highways.
NSC had idealized two transport infrastructures including TTP and Inland Dry Port (IDP) as panacea to urban traffic gridlocks and shipping haulage crisis.
He explained that on delivery of the TTPs, Bello said prospective investors will have strong return on investment as the facility will drive multiplier effects by opening up other associated business growth and development for both Enugu and Kogi State.
