Top executive members of the Nigerian Gas Association (NGA), led by the President, Mrs. Audrey Joe-Ezigbo, Wednesday in Abuja, paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of State for Petroleum Resources, Chief Timipre Sylva.
Their lead aim amongst others is to show strong commitment in furtherance to the Gas Business priority of the Honorable Minister.
In her brief speech during discussion with the Minister, President of group made a case for the need to increase the Industry and Regulator synergy in areas of shared interest.
Joe-Ezigbo, while noting that such partnerships will upscale clear tangible markers of success under Chief Timipre’s direction, congratulated the minister for toeing the part to industrial efficiency in driving affairs in Nigeria’s oil and gas sector.
Responding, Chief Timipre Sylva name-checked the Nigerian Gas Flare Commercialisation Programme (NGFCP), and echoed his desire to complete the gas flare commercialisation programme of the government on record time.
Continuing, the Minister gave clear assurance on providing a platform for stakeholders to come together and brainstorm on effective solutions to subsisting challenges in the industry.
Making remarks, the Technical Adviser on Gas Business to the Minister, who doubles as the Programme Manager of NGFCP, Mr. Justice Derefaka lauded the lead gas association in Nigeria for the immense support so far received by the government from their group.
He further intimated the visitors of the Ministry’s zeal to quickly forge synergies with relevant and deserving association including NGA.
