Honourable Minister of Transport, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Ameachi has held interactive Forum with critical stakeholders in the Ministry of Transportation with the aim of developing fresh agenda for the next level Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in the Maritime Sub Sector.
Addressing participants, he called on stakeholders to double their efforts as the administration President Muhammadu Buhari enters a critical stage in infrastructure development and policy initiatives.
According to him, joint efforts with full dedication of all players in the sector will produce the best result for the sub sector which will culminate to ease of doing business at ports, creation of more jobs and growth of the sector.
Earlier in her address, the Managing Director, Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), Hadiza Bala Usman called on industry players to rise up to the challenge of changing the narratives of the maritime sub sector for the better.
According to her, such rise in service delivery will help in creating more jobs and income for the country.
The forum was attended by key industry players drawn from critical stakeholders’ bodies.
