Just in: After addresses, S’Court adjourns Imo ruling to 3pm today

At the height of anxiety which started rising since Monday following the adjournment of the proceedings on Imo State guber judgment review at the Supreme Court, today after brief hearing of counsels, the apex court, again shifted continuation retrial application filed by PDP candidate, Chief Emeka Ihedioha to 3pm today, Tuesday, March 3, 2020.

Chief Ihedioha had approached the apex court after observing clear issues of omissions and faulty calculations embedded in the rejected result sheets of the 388 polling units tendered by Governor Hope Uzodinma upon which the court relied to remove and install Senator Uzodinma as governor on january 14, 2020.

Fact check by Business Hilights Abuja Bureau chief who had been on ground at the Court premises showed that final verdict is possible today.

Besides, body languages coming from both sides of the divide at the court showed high tension, apprehension and speechlessness.

Besides, our Abuja Bureau chief reports that Abuja has reaped enough from the Imo Political logjam as all the Hotels in the Federal Capital are brimming with Imolites keeping vigil over the IMO Governorship imbroglio.

Also, airlines at Sam Mbakwe Airport will be praying that this “Season” never ends so that they continue to smile to the banks with legion of Imo Passengers leaving and entering Owerri every week for the Uzodinma/Ihedioha saga.

Aside, airlines that are making sharp businesses, eateries and Joints in Abuja are on serious business as each Camp paint the FCT Red with Champagnes of awaiting “Celebration”.

However, in all, the political heavyweights from both divides are momentarily seen surprisingly exchanging banters in Court; hold hands, slap backs, exchange Yabis while Judges look mean and serious.

However, real lovers of the state seek early end to the haemorrhaging Capital flight from IMO to Abuja on the matter since January 14, 20202.

…Details as events unfold today.
