*WHEREAS* Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Areas formerly Isiala Ngwa Local Government.
*WHEREAS* The people of Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Local Government’s are blood relations with the same affinity.
*WHEREAS* Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Local Government’s where created for administrative purposes:
*AND* after an extensive deliberation by leaders of Isiala Ngwa North and Isiala Ngwa South Local Government Areas, it was resolved as follows:
- That we appreciate the ruling party in the state – the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) for granting the Governorship ticket of the party to a son of Isiala Ngwa North in the person of Prof. Eleazar Uche Ikonne.
- That since Isiala Ngwa North has the governorship ticket, the ticket for House of representatives should exclusively left for Isiala Ngwa South to give them sense of belonging and equally garner their support until after the tenure of Prof. Ikonne which is what the party has already done at the primary election by voting for Prof ACB Agbazuere from Isiala Ngwa South as people’s democratic party (PDP)’s candidate for House of representatives.
- That we call on all citizens of Isiala Ngwa North not to contest the House of representatives position and that anybody who does otherwise will be on a frolic of his own.
- That we firmly support the people’s democratic party (PDP) as a party and the PDP Government in Abia state led by Governor Okezie Victor Ikpeazu, Ph.D.
- That there is urgent need to set up Isiala Ngwa Development committee for the development of Isiala Ngwa.
- That we should all work assiduously for the unity, peace and progress of Isiala Ngwa.
