The Government of Imo State, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, has jump-started a rare entrepreneurial business development initiative, Imo Social Benefit Number (IMSSBN) that will be driven by citizen’s enrolment with the Imo State Inland Revenue Service (IIRS).
According to the new scheme, South East Business Hilights Bureau chief reports that according to the scheme, “On completion of registration exercise at IIRS, the state agency will issue your number to you at any government office near you.”
“Besides, part of the advantage will be ending the instances of double taxation by registered businesses in the state going forward.
Other advantages, according to the government include seamless access to government loans, grants, free entrepreneurial training, Agric/business loan access, start-up capital, housing access and access to government markets and shops.
