How Access Bank boss beat others to emerge Most Reputable Nigerian Bank CEO
Rating Agency, Avance Media, and the Institute of Leadership and Management has ruled that Herbert Wigwe, the chief executive officer of Access Bank Plc, is the Most Reputable Nigerian Bank CEO in the latest ranking their Reputation Poll.
Avance Media is Africa’s Leading Media and Public Relations Agency focused on creating varied contents for the Global Market.
The group said Wigwe beat 19 other CEOs of commercial banks in Nigeria in the public poll.
Industry observers say Wigwe, a 50-year-old banker who assumed office in January 2014, has been able to drive the bank from strength to strength even in the face of several challenges in the industry.
An alumnus of the Harvard Business School Executive Management Programme, Wigwe had served as the Chairman of Access Bank Ghana Limited and is the current Chairman of Access Bank (UK) Limited.
