GTBank win treble in London, adds more security features for 737 Mobile banking App

Guaranty Trust Bank plc, has further consolidated her lead in Nigeria’s banking sector, hauling treble including ‘Best Private Banking Services, Best Commercial Banking Capabilities & Best Net-worth Specific Services in Africa’ during the 2017 Euromoney Private Banking Awards which held recently in the City of London.

This is as the bank has introduced security measures on its bank 737 mobile banking platform which has been vulnerable to fraud ever since the platform launched in 2015.

Before the new addition, several complaints trailed GTBank’s 737 simple banking platform and after many requests the bank rolled out a four-digit PIN to complete a transaction.

The 737 simple banking platform now requires a four-digit PIN to complete transactions. According to a message sent out to bank customers February 22, the process for creating a PIN is simple, to create PIN for GTBANK 737 simply Dial *737*5#, Input the last 6 digits of your Debit Card Create your 4-digit PIN.

The Euromoney Private Banking and Wealth Management Survey is the industry’s leading barometer for product innovation and service delivery to private banking clients. The survey covers 15 different product and client categories on a global and regional basis, and has ranking results in 70 countries.

Helen Avery, private banking editor said “This year, close to 700 institutions took part in the survey, 2,951 valid responses were received, representing a 12.8% increase from last year figures.
