Leading retail banking giant, Fidelity Bank Plc has stepped up its prevailing partnership with one of the largest Lagos trading group, the Balogun Business Association (BBA), Lagos International Trade Fair Complex.
Speaking at a recent interface meeting with the BBA, Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, Nnamdi Okonkwo, announced the rebuilding of the main gate leading to the BBA complex.
Announcing the corporate social responsibility (CSR) project support, he added that Fidelity Bank will continue to provide soft loans and security for traders in the Trade Fair complex, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).
He said the scheme is part of the bank’s action plan in driving seamless business growth in the Lagos Trade fair complex including other trading group like the Auto Spare Parts and Machinery Dealers Association (ASPAMDA), Association of Progressive Traders (ATP) and other trading groups.
Giving further details, Okonkwo explained that the forum with traders at the Lagos trade fair is part of the bank’s strategies in driving business growth and proffering investment solutions for businesses both large and small scales.
He averred that “This is part of our customers’ engagement to provide products that address their needs. This market constitutes a significant part of our balance sheet and this we appreciate.”
“Based on the loan needs we identified today, we would deploy facilities that allow people with recommendations from the association access to loans. The association will serve as collateral and the traders’ support facility,” Fidelity Bank boss assured.
